

Mabry Cann Williams passed away peacefully at Lexington Medical Center on Monday, October 28th 2024. Born on September 15th, 1933 in Abbeville, SC, he was the son of the late Ira L. and Stellie C. Williams.
Mabry began his career with the United States Postal Service at the age of eighteen, where he held numerous positions for over 40 years until his retirement. He served his community in many ways. As a founding member of Jamil Shrine Temple, where he retired as Treasurer Emeritus. He was a member of the Royal Order of the Jesters and a Past Master of Sinclair Masonic Lodge #154. He served as a trustee at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church where he was also a charter member. He served his country in the Army National Guard until his retirement.
Mabry was one of a kind. He had a loving and generous heart and never met a stranger. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed many outings with good friends and making people laugh. He leaves behind cherished memories to all the lives he touched.
Mabry is survived by the love of his life of almost 71 years, Jean Creswell Williams of the home; two daughters, Pam Metz (Harry) of Columbia, SC, Rhonda Thomasson (Bobby) of Abbeville,SC; A sister, Ira Dean Stone (Charles) of Abbeville, SC; four grandchildren, Travis Montgomery (Lauren), Morgan Smith (Matthew), Matthew Montgomery, Carleigh Dansby (Matthew) and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11am Thursday, October 31st at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at 10am prior to the service.
