

With 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, he served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. In 1971, he retired to Irmo, S.C. Marion was an ordained minister in the Church of God and International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served as an adult Sunday School teacher for 20 years at Irmo Family Worship Center.
He loved camping, fishing, and spending time in the mountains with his family. Always friendly with a good sense of humor, he was best known as PawPaw, Pops, Fizzy Pops and “Hey, Old Man” to many. He read many books concerning his faith and was self-educated in all aspects of it.
Surviving are his wife, Clara Fisher; son, Marion Evon Fisher; daughter, Joyce Fisher; stepdaughters, Jamie Stallman (Roger) and Cissy Keels (Rodger); ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty J. Fisher; sons, Rickey L. Fisher and Dallas F. Fisher; and grandson, Rickey D. Baker.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 in Whitmire Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where Marion was a proud supporter.
