

Born on March 20, 1934, in Blythewood, South Carolina, Frances was the beloved daughter of the late Allie and Janie Blume. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ansel Heyward Forrest Sr., with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage.
Frances dedicated many years of her career to Colonial Life Insurance, where she was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and commitment. Outside of work, she found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved preparing delicious Southern meals for those she loved, never missed an episode of Days of Our Lives, and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family. Whether gathered around the table for a home-cooked meal or simply enjoying one another's company, Frances made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina, Frances lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for those around her.
In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Able, Laura Goff, and Betty Lomas; her brothers, Buddy Blume, Robert Blume, Jimmy Blume, and Clyde Blume; and her son in law, Tommy Storey.
She is survived by her loving children, Caroline Forrest Storey and Ansel Heyward Forrest Jr.; her beloved sister, Doris Stroman; her cherished grandchildren, Blake Storey and his wife, Jennifer, Chandler Herrington and her husband, Lane Herrington, Mary-Katharine Storey, and Emma Storey; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Hampton Macneill Herrington, Reagan Storey, and a great-grandson, Hudgens Forrest Herrington, who is expected to arrive soon and was already dearly loved by his great-grandmother.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love, kindness, and support shown throughout Frances’s life. A special thank you is extended to White Oak Manor in Newberry, South Carolina, for the compassionate care provided.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and unconditional love that will be cherished always.
