

Melissa Delores Kerr, lovingly known as Weezy, was born on January 6, 1975, in Camden, SC, and passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 50. She brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew her.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Jason Kerr; her daughter, Megan Brazell; her parents, Skeeter Hinson of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Linda and Arnie Kupcs of Lexington, SC; her sister, Terri Matthews; her brother, Ricky Hinson; and her mother-in-law, Becky Kerr of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by her stepson, Joshua Kerr, and stepdaughters, Holly Kerr, Tara Coolidge, and Amanda Haltiwanger. She was preceded in death by her son, Baby Boy Brazell, and her stepson, Ian Kerr.
Melissa’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her infectious smile, generous heart, and her ability to make everyone feel like a friend. Melissa never hesitated to help others—always willing to give the shirt off her back. She had a deep love for life, riding her Harley, and spending time with her sidekick dogs, Lemmy and Diesel, who were always by her side. She was a proud member of HOG (Harley Owners Group) and previously served as Secretary of ABATE Cross Anchor.
Melissa’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she gave so freely.
A visitation and reception for Melissa will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home - Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, South Carolina 29063.
