It is both an honor and a privilege to be a member of the Crane family. For 35 years, I have been part of the beautiful Tree of Life that Melvin and Rosella grew from the great love they shared. Dad was the trunk that supported the rest of the family and kept them rooted to their history and values. Mom grew the branches and their leaves stretched towards the light. Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren...all flourishing from this magnificent tree. We are grieving the loss of one so very dear to us, impossible to believe the mighty oak was felled. But everywhere, the fruits of this magnificent marriage flourish and have spread out across the country. Dad, you have inspired and awed me, and I am ever grateful for all you've been and all you've done. My children grew up with your wisdom, kindness and flapjacks! My husband is the epitome of your integrity and smile. Our love, forever yours. Elyse Crane, (Roanoke, Virginia
