Michael Edward Patsolic, 74, went home to be with his Lord on August 17, 2021, surrounded by his wife of 51 years Lynn, son Shane, and daughter Shelise. A native of Atlanta, GA, Michael was born February 4, 1947 to Jack Patsolic and Lucille Estes.
After 20 years, Michael retired as a Master Sergeant USAF. From 1992 to 2000, he served as a Captain for the Irmo Police department. He later retired a second time as a Lexington County Sheriff Deputy.
Michael was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church, where he faithfully served Jesus for many years. He enjoyed his men's prayer group and Good News Club. He also made a "joyful noise" in the Choir. He served and volunteered in any way the church needed him to.
Michael will remembered most for his kindness to everyone he met. The love he had for his family and animals. His wacky sense of humor. His conviction to bring a smile to someone's face and help them any way he could. His ability to make conversation with anyone anywhere. He had a nickname for everyone! His keen MISUNDERSTANDING of technology. The way he mooed at every cow he passed. The way he touched people both literally and figuratively, everywhere he went.
Some of his favorite hobbies were to talk to people at the mall or really anywhere, working out, music, pistachio ice cream, butter, giving every dog he met a Milkbone, and being in the sun.
What we loved most was that his personality was "one of a kind".
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 51 years, Lynn; son, Shane Patsolic and his wife Nita; daughter, Shelise Crossland and her husband Johnathan; granddaughter, Taylor Patsolic and her fiancé Alex; grandsons, Michael Patsolic and Landon Patsolic; brother, Steve Patsolic; sisters, Jackie Jones and Toni Lindsey; several nieces and nephews; his cat, Gracie; and granddog, Moultrie aka "Wonderdog". He is predeceased by his parents.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church. There will also be a livestream of the service for those who cannot attend on Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/DunbarDutchFork
In lieu in flowers, Michael would hope that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in need. Memorial contributions may also be made in his honor to a charity of one’s choice.
