Molly Marie Davidson

COLUMBIA - Molly Marie Davidson, 93, died on Monday, December 25, 2023. Born in Bramwell, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late George P. and Marie Painter Murphy. She was a granddaughter of the late T.S. Painter and Virginia Painter.

Molly graduated from Bramwell High School and worked for Sublette Feed and Supply, General Brokerage Company, Virginia Employment Commission, Tabor Machine Shop, AT&T Roanoke, and Nursery Garden. She was a member of Bramwell Presbyterian Church, followed by Princeton Presbyterian Church and finally Lake Murray Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2023 at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall. A burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Princeton, WV.

Surviving are daughters, Rebecca Davidson of Chapin, SC, Bonnie Wills; sister, Terry Reed of Princeton, WV; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; six nieces; four nephews; six great-nieces; and seven great-nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Clifford F. Davidson, brothers, Donnie Murphy, Harold Murphy, and Doug Murphy.

The family wishes to thank Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, CNAs at Heritage at Lowman, and Lutheran Hospice for their support and care during Mrs. Davidson’s last several years.
