To all the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will miss her greatly. I have always thought Mrs. Dowling was a kind and gracious woman. She always had something positive to say. I have looked at all the pictures. She was beautiful in all of them, and her great grandchildren look a lot like her. Love you all!

To the entire family,
I am sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed Mrs. Dowling's company. She was a nice and hospitable lady. I always thought that she had very lovely grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am sure it is a comfort knowing that a little part of her is still with you in them. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

I do have a memory to share of her that left a lasting impact on me. One day years ago while we were visiting, there was a fire down the street from where Steve and Cindy once lived in Columbia. The woman, I am sure she was a stranger, whose home had just burned was weeping in the street. Mrs. Dowling walked over to her, comforted her, and slipped money in the woman's hands. I don't think she knew that I saw what she did, but it left an impression on me. She saw a need and she quietly met it. I think that speaks to the character of Mrs. Dowling.
