I think the last time I saw my cousin Nick was when I was about 10 years old in 2014, and we came to South Carolina for a visit. I remember him playing his instruments wonderfully with his siblings, and looking up to him with admiration. His home in South Carolina was a beautiful place, and I am happy to know that he could grow up there, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

I didn't know Nick well, but he is one of only four first cousins that I have. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for his parents, siblings, family, and friends who knew him well to say goodbye.

All our condolences to your whole family during this difficult time. We know that Nick was deeply loved and that he touched many lives. Even though we did not have the chance to know him personally, our son often spoke of him with such kindness and respect. It was clear how much their friendship meant and how highly he thought of him.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our dear colleague in a road accident in Nashville. He was more than just a teammate—he was like the right hand of our team. His intelligence, dedication, and strong sense of ownership inspired us all. He never shied away from responsibility and always stood accountable, setting an example we admired.

I miss his smile on his face. He is so handsome tall and good at heart. We really miss him in the team. He is one of my favorite contacts in Teams. Everyday morning I open teams I see him, with a big smiling face. He used to lead stand ups, weekly calls. He is very disciplined with what ever the work he owns. Seeing his picture in teams make me sad that he is no more with us. 

He was not only excellent professionally but also a wonderful person personally. As an IDM guru, his expertise guided and supported so many of us. He was straightforward in his approach, always honest and transparent, and he stood firmly by the rules and principles he believed in.

It is hard to accept that someone so young and full of promise is no longer with us. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, and we will truly miss his presence, his leadership, and his friendship.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.

I am incredibly sorry for your loss. 

I feel so lucky that my path crossed with Nick's, even if only for a short time. From the very beginning of when we started working together, he was the person I would go to to ask any questions and he was always patient, never making me feel like any question was too small. That patience was such a part of who he was, and it made him not only a colleague but someone I trusted and admired. Nick could never make the previous work trips because he was busy taking care of Uzi and Athena, which only showed the size of his heart and the way he put love and responsibility first. 

So when I finally got the chance to meet him, I was looking forward to it. I remember noticing first how tall he was, and then the warmth of his smile. Over that trip, I got to hear his stories and see the depth of his goodness- the kind that makes you pause and wonder how one person can hold so much of it. 

What I’ll never forget is the gentleness and warmth he brought into every interaction. Before I went home that night, he made sure to tell me how happy he was that we had finally met. I am grateful that this is the memory I carry- that I got to experience his kindness, his openness, and his heart, even if it was only for a little while.

My deepest condolences to Nic's family and this is a huge shock to all of us. I met him several times last week and I am not able to think that he is no more with us. Nic is very talented, very social and friendly with every one of us. We are all going to miss him and never thought that I am going to write like this.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Leonhardt,

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Even though most of my time working with Nick was virtual, he left a lasting impression on me. He was always kind, dependable, and willing to help no matter how busy he was. I’ll never forget when he got his puppies two years ago and turned on his camera, so excited to show them off.  And I feel grateful that I saw him in Nashville just last week; I hugged him, and I will always remember the smile he had then, and the love he showed when talking about his dogs.

While I never knew Nicholas, I knew his father Mark through Eastman. There’s no doubt in my mind that the acorn didn’t fall too far from the tree. My respect and admiration for Mark came from being on a committee with him and in the day, I wasn’t retained by DAK. The humility he showed me was and still is a day that I will never forget. My thoughts are with the family and friends as they deal with such a significant loss.  I pray that God gives them strength and comfort.

While I only had the privilege of meeting Nick in person once, it was an absolute delight to spend that time with him. There wasn't a single time that I saw him and he was not smiling. We spoke about his dogs back at home & how he had rescued them and all I could think about is how honorable and kind he was to be so selfless. He carried that honor, kindness, and generosity with him at all times - even on routine calls he was always ready and willing to provide a helping hand. 
The time we got with Nick was so incredibly special and I am so grateful to have had the privilege of meeting such an amazing person. He will be missed so dearly and I send all of my support & deepest condolences to his family and friends at this time.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Nick. He was truly the most empathetic, kind-hearted, and grounded person I have ever known. Even under tremendous pressure, Nick was always willing to help others, and I never saw him react negatively in any situation. He was loved by everyone who knew him.

It is difficult to accept that he is no longer with us. I had hoped to meet him for two years, and when I finally did, it was his last day. I’ve heard from a colleague that Nick wanted to meet me in person, and I will always cherish that final moment with him.
