Mrs. Patricia Pike Pike Hiers

Funeral service for Patricia Pike Hiers, 79, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Salem United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Hiers died Saturday, May 9, 2015. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., she was a daughter of the late Henry Hunter and Eleanor Elizabeth Gardner Pike. Mrs. Hiers grew up in Savannah, Ga. and attended Armstrong College. She retired as a fingerprint examiner supervisor with S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED), after 20 years of service. Mrs. Hiers was a member of Salem UMC. She was also a former member of Ladies Golf Association, Mid-Carolina.

Surviving are her sons, Rickey Stephen Hiers (Jean Benbow) of Lexington, Christopher Paul Hiers of Charlotte; sister, Elizabeth Ann Underwood (Rufus David) of Shreveport, La.; three grandchildren, Hunter Reed Hiers, Jolie Emerson Hiers and Griffin Patrick Hiers; a niece and a nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Emerson Hiers.
