Paul Allen Semones Jr.

Allen married his high school sweetheart, Carole Simmons, in 1962. They began their life together in Mount Airy, North Carolina, until they moved to South Carolina in 1976.

Allen attended the University of South Carolina, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting. He became a licensed Certified Public Accountant and later built a successful career at Honda of Columbia. A man of quiet strength and dedicated leadership for over 35 years, Allen retired as a co-owner and Vice President of Operations.

In his free time, Allen was a skilled craftsman and a lifelong automotive enthusiast. He enjoyed remodeling, collecting classic cars, and was an avid amateur drag racer.

Allen is survived by Carole, his cherished wife of 64 years; his children, Robin Semones (Theresa), Laura Maxwell (Michael), Nichole Cooper (Danny), and Paul Semones (Mackenzie); nine grandchildren, Sarah (Thomas), Ben, Jacob, Hadley, Stella, AJ, Juna, Christian, and Quinn; great-granddaughter, Harper; brother, Richard Semones (Gail); sisters, Jeanne Semones and Susie Mahnke (Kym); brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Diana), John (Pat), Grayson (Kaye), Billy (Libby), and Bob Simmons; and many dear nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Friday, October 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home- Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of the service. Allen will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Woodridge Memorial Park.
