Ralph Webber Smoak

A funeral service for Ralph Webber Smoak, Sr., 89, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, with a private burial in St. Michael’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smoak passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Born in Bamberg, he was the youngest child of the late William Murat Smoak and Nettie Evelyn Rentz Smoak. Mr. Smoak was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a former Shriner and member of the Jamil Temple. Mr. Smoak was the owner of R & R Motors, Inc. since January 5, 1970.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Jo Ann Thomas Smoak; sons, Ralph Webber Smoak, Jr. (Penny), William F. Smoak (Ann), Ronald D. Smoak (Carol); grandchildren, Ralph W. “Trey” Smoak III (Bobbi), Katie Smoak, Robert Smoak (Katie), Tom Smoak, Ronnie Smoak; great-grandchildren, Emma Smoak and Summer Smoak. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Thomas Smoak; three brothers; and two sisters.
