Robert Harry Moore, 60, slipped into eternal peace on June 1st, 2018, surrounded by the loves of his life, his beloved wife Carol and daughter Amy, other loving family members, friends and the beautiful sound of acoustic guitar and song. Rob’s greatest passion in the last 15 years of his life was his family. He was a selfless, loyal, loving husband, a peaceful companion, who always put the needs of his wife and daughter before his own. To the rest of his family and friends, he was unwavering, ready to help in any situation, always with a smile on his face. He had a wonderful, sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. His calm manner was forever inviting; his presence will be missed beyond measure. Rob enjoyed traveling, a passion he shared with Carol. Their favorite destination was Ireland; other journeys included Paris, Prague, Amsterdam, London, Vienna and more locally, his favorite, the mountains. His interests also included history, politics, world events and for many years was an avid reader. He enjoyed going to the movies, his favorite guilty pleasure — particularly bad horror movies. Rob is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Carol Diane Cantor Moore, daughter Amy Landau, mother Joan LaRue Moore, brothers Tom (Sandy) and Steve (Linda) Moore, sister-in-law Judy Moore, nieces Lauren Stein, Barbara Kneeland, nephews Kyle and Kevin Moore and several great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his Father, Robert Cushman Moore, sister, Barbara Moore, and brother John Moore. Rob was born and raised in Portage, WI. He graduated from Turner High School and earned an Associate Degree in Marketing at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, WI. He spent the majority of his adult life working in the Nuclear Industry, and most recently, 28 years with V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant, S.C.E.&G. A memorial service will be held at Harvest Church, 4865 Sunset Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072 on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 4:00 PM, preceded by visitation with the family from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The family is greatly appreciative of the outpouring of love and support by his wonderful family of coworkers at S.C.E.&G. as well as the enormous support by his Church family at the Harvest. In lieu of flowers or gifts the family asks for donations to be made to Harvest Church or to God’s Littlest Angels in Haiti, a ministry and orphanage that Rob and Carol had followed for many years and had hoped to visit during their retirement. The address to send donations to GLA is 2283 A Waynoka Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80915. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind,” 2 Timothy 1:7. This will be one of many scriptures that will carry the family through the coming days, weeks and years of suffering this devastating loss of their dear Rob.

Carol, Amy and family please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart breaks at the loss of Rob. He was a good friend and I could always count on him to deliver Meals on Wheels. I don't think he ever said no, even on a sort notice. Rob will be greatly missed. Praying for you to feel God's presence and trust Him to give you His comfort, peace and strength. Hang on to the memories and the truth that we will be united with our love ones and Our Heavenly Father. In Deepest Sympathy and love.

Sending thoughts and prayers to the family. Most of my memories were at Grandma and Grandpa Hanson's in Beloit. Many hours of playing catch out in the yard and going to the pool to swim.
