

.Service for Ronald Jack Cox, 75, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Chapin Baptist Church, 950 Old Lexington Highway, Chapin, SC 29036. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is in charge.
Ron passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014. Born in Tahlequah, OK, on April 14, 1939, he was a son of the late Walter Cox and Golden Arbeutus Hardesty. Ron was a US Veteran having served his country in the US Army. He was an active member of Chapin Baptist Church. Ron was a Structural Design Engineer having retired from SCE&G. He was currently a Consultant with C.B.I., Chicago Bridge and Iron Company, working at V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Anita Helms Cox, daughters, Ronda Elaine Thompson and husband, Paul, Lisa Cox Williams and husband, Jeff; granddaughters, Shelby Elaine Thompson, Sydney Michelle Thompson, Harper Tate Williams; and a brother, Wayne Hawkins of Copan, OK. He is also survived by his aunt, Iris Steeley; numerous cousins; nephews and one niece.
