

IRMO – Ronald Lloyd Maxwell, 75, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Born on February 27, 1945 in Arlington, VA, he was a son of the late Lloyd Harvey Maxwell and Christine Carol Truax Maxwell. He attended Martinsville High School and grew up and worked on the family farm, Maxwell Farms. In July 2012, he moved to Irmo, SC and worked as a Millwright for Shaw Industries in Jenkinsville. He was an avid jigsaw puzzler who loved walking his dog, Sadie, and working in the flower garden. He also loved photography and worked for Gill Studio.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Bettie Atchley Maxwell; sons, Matthew Maxwell (Jennifer) and Todd Maxwell, both of Martinsville, Ind.; stepchildren, Jeff Floyd (Rae), Kevin Floyd (Janelle), both of Martinsville, Ind., and Tami Marshall (Frank) of Rembert, SC; grandchildren, Logan Maxwell, Jonathan Maxwell, Kaylynne Maxwell, Elizabeth Maxwell, Trevor Griswold, Levi Floyd, Lucas Floyd, Harper Floyd, Taylor Cross, and Savana Floyd; great-grandchild, David Griswold; and brothers, Roger Maxwell (Kathryn), David Maxwell, Chris Maxwell (Nancy), all of Martinsville, Ind.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Patsy Hill Maxwell; a son, Darrin Maxwell, and grandson, Tyler Griswold.
