Ruby was born February 29, 1928 to Silas and Katie Stephens Morrow. She grew up in the Eau Claire Community and was a graduate of Columbia High School. She worked at the Baptist Bookstore and the Baptist Foundation Baptist Building for Arthur Gross Sr., and Frankie Colb. She went to work for Arthur Gross as a comptroller at Southern Mutual Church Insurance and worked for 29 years.
She was a member of Chapin Baptist Church, St. Andrews Baptist and Chapin Presbyterian, where she was always active in their music programs. For many years, she was an active member of the Chapin Chirpers, where she enjoyed performing at nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Chapin, Columbia, West Columbia and Lexington. Performing with the Chapin Chirpers brought her much joy!

Ruby’s family was her EVERYTHING and she loved spending time with them.
