Ruth Ann Hall, 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 2, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband Robert A Hall. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Testa and Helen Marusak Testa.
She is survived by her loving and adoring children, Marcy and (Joe) Hall, Anita and (Nick) Archuleta and Robert and (Candy) Hall; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and her beloved cat Molly. She is also survived by two sisters, Delores (Frank) Hanlin and Loretta Mihok.
A devoted mother, she was a stay at home mother for many years. She joined the Blair Corporation and worked with the company for 21 years until her retirement in 2001. After retirement she relocated to North East PA and lived there for 3 years, before moving to Irmo, South Carolina in 2007. While in South Carolina, she worked as a substitute in the school cafeterias in the Lex 5 School District. She made many new friends since moving to SC and is described as a sweet and loving woman by those who know her.
Ruth was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoyed her women’s Bible study and her own devotional time with her Lord. She was a member of the local gym and enjoyed time there. She was an avid reader, enjoyed pretty flowers and tending them in her yard. Ruth was a faithful Pittsburgh Steeler fan and became a Gamecock fan after moving south.
A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
A celebration of life will also be held at the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church, 210 Jamestown St., Sugar Grove PA on Friday, November 28, 2014 @ 7 pm.
