A Mass of Christian Burial for Suzanne C. Abbruzzi, 71, will be conducted by Father John Murray at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.
Mrs. Abbruzzi passed away Friday, July 20, 2018. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret LeClerc Froehlich. She was the wife of the late Angelo Abbruzzi. Following her retirement, she and Angelo moved to the Carolinas to spend time with their children and grandchildren, whom they loved dearly. Mrs. Abbruzzi was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, and Our Lady of Hills Womens Group. She was a talented quilter and a member of the Palmetto Quilt Guild as well as the Greater Columbia Quilt Guild. Mrs. Abbruzzi was also an avid gardener and enjoyed line dancing. She loved her weekly games and fellowship with her Mahjong Group.
Surviving are her daughter, Gina Martin (Carl); son, John Abbruzzi; grandchildren, Taylor, Sydney, and Olivia. She is also survived by a brother, Fred Froehlich. She is preceded in death by brothers, David, Richard, and Daniel Froehlich.
