Graveside service for Timothy “Tim” Michael Monahan, 65, will be held in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Cemetery. Due to the current health issue with COVID-19, the service will be private. There will be a Facebook Livestream available through the Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel Facebook beginning at 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Tim passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at his home after a long four-year battle from appendix cancer. Born in Erie, PA, he was a son of the late John and Patricia Timon Monahan. Tim is also preceded in death by his son, Michael Lloyd Monahan. Tim was a graduate of Cathedral Prep School and received his BA from Gannon University. He and Cheryl were married for 47 years. He moved from his beloved home of Erie, PA to Columbia, SC in 1984. Tim was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. He was a CPA and Partner at Mauldin & Jenkins, formerly Derrick, Stubbs & Stith. He was a member of the AICPAA and Toast Masters. He enjoyed running, golfing and loved listening to music. His family was most important in his life and the memories they have will be cherished.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Cheryl, are his daughters and their husbands, Ryann and Mark Bartmann, Erin and Patrick Godwin, Kerry and Brian Kraft, and Megan and Gregg Johnson; siblings, Jack Monahan, Scott Monahan, Kelly DiPrinzo, Tracy Monahan, Kerry Philips, and Pat Monahan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Lily and Mia Bartmann; Devon Langley, Myles, and Greysen Godwin; Kayla and Haley Kraft; Brennan, Harper and Campbell Johnson; and one great-grandchild, Teagan Langley.
