Viola "Billie" Mobley Brannon

Funeral Service for Viola “Billie” Mobley Brannon, 104, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Salem United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is assisting the family. Mrs. Brannon passed away Friday, April 17, 2015, three weeks before her 105th birthday. Born in Heath Springs, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Claude and Cannie Williams Mobley. She was the wife of the late Dr. Leland J. Brannon. Billie was a member of Salem UMC, the Love Circle, the Crafts and Things Club, and the Over 55 Club. She was a 1932 Graduate of Baptist Hospital Nursing School and was a member of the Columbia Medical Society Auxiliary. Surviving is her daughter, Gloria Brannon; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Eva Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
