

Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, on August 26, 1955, Vicky was the daughter of the late Archel and Sue Sanders. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and the University of South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Vicky married Richard Harris on June 17, 1978. She was a dedicated professional who, throughout her career, held accounting and management positions with Seibels Bruce Group, Hardaway Concrete, Aggregate Industries, and Concrete Supply Company.
Vicky loved being a mother. When her sons were young she taught children’s Sunday school and served as a Cub Scout den mother. She cherished her family, music and laughter, and she especially loved being “Mimi” to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted husband who loved her dearly, Richard Harris; her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Katie of Baltimore, MD, and Daniel and Ashley of Columbia, SC; and her beloved grandchildren, Andie, Hopper, and Dash. She is also survived by her sister, Shelby Lawhon (Lynn), along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Archie, Hartwell, and Ted Sanders, and Clarence Crawford; and her sisters, Jackie Wylie, Jessica Phillips, and Jo Ann Price.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, aides, and support staff at The Heritage at Lowman, as well as Lutheran Hospice, for the compassionate care they provided.
Vicky was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at Salem United Methodist Church on April 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., 1321 Salem Church Road, Irmo, South Carolina 29063. The family will receive friends on April 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, Lutheran Hospice, or the Dementia Society of America.
