Columbia, S. C. – A funeral service for William “Bill” Leo Jowers, 89, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, with burial in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Jowers died Sunday, February 3, 2025. Born in Zebulon, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Leo Lester Jowers and Linnie Maude Bunn. Bill was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and loved to cook. Most of all, he loved his family.
Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Jowers Mims; son, William Gregory Jowers (Deana); five grandchildren, Jason Brown (Amanda), Hunter Mims, Anna Jowers, Bryce Jowers, and Avery Jowers; two great-grandchildren, Henry Brown and Evelyn Brown; and brother-in-law, Fred Edwards.
