William A. McElveen

Andy was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 18, 1959, to William C. (Bill) and Mildred Sisk McElveen.

He had a successful career in the flooring business. He began as an installer and progressed into sales. He retired from a prominent flooring retailer after working 15 years as a top salesman in the Columbia, SC market. In his spare time, Andy enjoyed golf and relaxing on his boat on Lake Murray.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Mildred McElveen. He is survived by his sister, Angela McElveen Younginer (Paul) and niece Anna M. Younginer.

Andy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who know him. He will be remembered for his kindness and gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family.

A gathering for family and friends will be held 6:00 PM – 8PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Dunbar Funeral Home, 7600 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC 29063.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
