Albert Irvin Swartz

Of Jackson, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the age of 68, surrounded by his family at his home . He had battled Glioblastoma for the last nine years with support from Allegiance Health Systems. He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Catina (Dirk) Lowe, Nathaniel (Wendy) Swartz and Kyle (Andrea) Swartz; grandchildren, Kaylene, Samantha and Rachel Lowe; mother, Betty Swartz; siblings, Douglas (Kate) Swartz, Edward (Karen) Swartz, Ron (Della) Swartz, Debbie (Dan) Schoch, Denise (Joe) Maranzano, and Diane (Swartz) Harris. He was preceded in death by his father, Jule Swartz; brother, Clifford Swartz, and son, Albert Swartz Jr. Albert was born on October 16, 1947 in Jackson to Jule and Betty Swartz. He was the President and Owner of Jule Swartz and Sons Excavating. He lived in Jackson, Michigan his entire life where he cared for his father and mother. He loved to watch Sci-Fi, go to the movies with his children, walking and getting coffee with his wife. He enjoyed talking to whoever was around to listen. He loved flying airplanes prior to being diagnosed with cancer. His love and generosity will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m until the time of service.
