
Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on January 17, 2015 at Ganton Countryside Care Center with family by her side at the age of 90. She was born to parents Alex and Myrtle Fox on April 5, 1924 in Ypsilati, Michigan. She married Allen Clow on May 10, 1944. Alexine was a homemaker and teacher’s assistant in child care classes at Ypsilanti Care Center. She was elected Miss Ypsilanti in 1941. Alexine was a member of the Methodist Church, a member of the Ladies Literary Club, den mother for the cub scouts, chair of the March of Dimes, and co-chaired the Ypsilanti Community Concert Series. In Bradenton, Florida, she volunteered at the Ringling Museum in the office and at the Children’s AM Fair. She is survived by her son, Allen (Deborah) Clow, Sr.; grandson, Allen (Wendi) Clow, Jr.; granddaughter Liesel (Alan) Chivington; great-grandchildren Collin Clow and Kathryn Clow; sister, Barbara Glendening; several nieces and nephews; and God-daughter, Peggy Butler. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Daniel Clow; and brothers Donald, Giles, Duane, and James Fox. Memorial services were held on Monday, January 19, 2015, with Reverend Richard Brooks officiating.
