Barbara Mae Dubois

Died peacefully, February 5, 2022 at age 85. Barbara was born July 17, 1936 in Benton Harbor, MI to Arnold and Vivian (Cody) Bissell. Barbara’s early years were not easy after losing her Mother at 3 years old, but she proved you can overcome and became an amazing woman and mother. She loved her family, friends and the beach. She was amazing at cross stitching, shopping and going to garage/antique sales with her sisters. She will be greatly missed by her children: Daniel (Dawn) Childs, Thomas (Carolyn) Childs, Robin (Jed) Reichard and Karen (Brent) Hukill, along with her 10 grandchildren Timothy (Jennifer) Childs, Stephanie (Chad) Weldy, Cortney Childs, Andrea (Branden) McLean, Joel Childs, Cambur (Nicholas) Ammons, Krista (Ryan) Brown, Paige (Matthew) Renner, Colleen (Anthony) Flores, Brad (Lesley) Choate, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored, her sister Gail (Ronald) Childs, Patricia McKnight and survived by her first husband, James Childs. She had a very special and beautiful bond with her sisters. Preceded in death by and now reunited with the love of her life George D. Dubois and her sister Carole (Jack) Childs.

A memorial visitation will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Ave, Jackson MI) on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice or a charity of your choice.
