Betty L. Kope

Of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne Kope. She is survived by her son, Dan (Ginette) Kope and granddaughter, Betty Sue Crawford. She was born in Ohio on April 11, 1935, one of four children born to Fred and Lena Decker. Betty had a special place in her heart for animals and was very passionate about assisting the ones that were injured or strayed. She worked as a legal secretary and was employed at Beck’s Flower Shop for many years. Betty had a strong faith in the Lord and attended Northwest Baptist Church (7600 Lansing Avenue, 49201) where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Hal Jankusky officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. then again on Wednesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Jones Cemetery.
