Brenda Kay Criner

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the age of 60. Brenda was born on August 13, 1964 to Phillip and Janet (Messner) Criner in Jackson, Michigan. In addition to her parents she is survived by sister, Melinda (Deric) Vollmer ; nephews, Robert (Sandra) Vollmer and James (Carlee) Vollmer ; great nephews, Liam and Jasper; great niece, Samara; one aunt, Linda Honsinger; special friend Kevin Dunlap. Brenda was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Phyllis Criner and Dale and Ethal Messner; brother in law Bryan Vollmer. Brenda attended HOTL (Heart of the Lakes Church) in Jackson. She loved spending time with her family and was a devoted Aunt. Brenda also loved caring for and spending time with her great nephews and niece. Brenda will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM. at the funeral home. Family will receive friends for visitation Monday, April 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Tuesday April 8, 2025 from 10:00AM until time of service at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, (1806 East Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI).
