Of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the age of 82. Carlyle was born in Jackson, Michigan on November 30, 1942, to parents Ezra Everette and Mildred Doris Chatfield. Carlyle liked to ride his bike, going on picnics, visiting with everyone, and playing the Harmonica. Carlyle is survived by siblings, Dale (Kay) Chatfield, Kathy (Robert) Verrier and Sally Hyden. In addition to his parents Carlyle is preceded in death by siblings, Ralph (Mary) Chatfield, Ellenor Wesse, Lila Trine, Gerrie (Richard) Miles, Ray Chatfield, Jimmy Chatfield, TruDee (Richard) Barnett and Arthur and Arlene Morton.
The family would like to thank Julie for many years of loving care for Carlyle at Care at Home. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of Carlyle's life will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49202). Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park next to family.
