Of Jackson joined her husband in Heaven on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelino Gonzales Sr. and her son, Timothy Gonzales Sr. She will be remembered by her children, Gloria (Tim) Gray, Marcelino Jr. (Linda) Gonzales, Nadine (Alan) Byrum and James Gonzales; grandchildren, Rebecca Copeland, Jessica Gray, Marcelino Gonzales III, Erika Byrum, Lance Byrum, James Gonzales II, Timothy Gonzales Jr. and John Gonzales; three great grandchildren, Olivia and Logan Copeland, Adrianna Kline. Carmen retired as a nurse’s aide from Foote Hospital labor and delivery unit after many years of service. She was a proud homemaker and loved her family. She was a parishioner of the Queen of Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary service scheduled at 6:00p.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Johns Cemetery.
