Charles C. Chaffin Jr., 81, of Parma, Michigan, passed away on October 29, 2026. Born June 23, 1945, in Jackson, Michigan, to Charles and Beatrice (Clark) Chaffin Sr., he lived a life marked by steadfast devotion, quiet strength, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that draw a family close. Charles married his bride Elizabeth Ann Bradley on June 21, 1975, they spent 26 years together until her passing.
Charles was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and his faith remained a guiding presence throughout his life, shaping the steady, respectful way he carried himself and cared for others.
He served in the Navy from 1960 to 1964 in Vietnam, answering his country’s call with discipline and resolve.
In the rhythms of everyday life, Charles found genuine happiness in the pastimes he loved most—baseball, fishing, and, above all, time spent with his family. He especially cherished doing puzzles with Brianna, moments that reflected his patience, attentiveness, and the warmth he brought to those closest to him. He also took pride in his collection of Vintage Car models, a lasting reflection of his careful eye and enduring interests.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Elizabeth Ann (Bradley) Chaffin; parents Charles Clarence Chaffin Sr. and Beatrice Lavern (Clark) Chaffin; brothers Richard Duane Chaffin and Theodore Gene Chaffin; sister Evelyn Laverne Chaffin.
He is survived by his son Andrew Bradley (Marie Louise) Chaffin; grandsons Patrick Robert Gibbons and Alexander Michael Bradley Chaffin; granddaughter Brianna Paige Chaffin; great grandchildren Oktober Gibbons, Phoenix Gibbons, Victoria Gibbons and Elizabeth Marie Chaffin.
Charles will be remembered with respect and gratitude by all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed. Per his request no services will be held at this time.
