Charles E. Eley

Of Howard City, MI formerly of Clark Lake, MI passed away with family at his side on March 9, 2016 at the age of 78. Chuck was born on October 23, 1937 in Jackson, MI, to parents Claude and Evelyn Eley. He married Martha Jane and they were married for 50 wonderful years. Chuck served his country as a Tech Sargent, working as an airplane mechanic in the Air Force. He retired after 22 ½ years of service. He loved hunting, collecting guns, antique cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. Chuck is survived by his wife, Martha Jane; children, JoAnn (Michael) Rogers, David (Debra) Eley, Anna (Tony) Edwards, and James Eley; special granddaughter, Sarajane; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great -great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:00pm at Patience- Montgomery Funeral Home. Family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 11:00 am until time of service. There will be a private burial at Clark Lake Cemetery.
