Charles Russell Waters, Jr. of Jackson, MI, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the age of 86. He was born on August 8, 1936 in Jackson to Charles Russell Waters, Sr. and Gertrude Frances (Piper) Waters. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Faith Ann (Beemon) Waters; his parents; and his sister, Beverly. Charles had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, beach combing and watching wrestling on TV. He served in the Army National Guard, Reserves and Army. Charles was involved in several community groups, including the Masonic Lodge, where he was a past Master, Son's of the Civil War, American Legion Post 29, past Boy Scout Master and past Police Explorer Leader. He retired after 31 years of service as a model maker from Harvard Industries. Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving sons, Charles, Cameron (Karen) and Chris (Shannon); daughter, Charity (Casey); nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Peggy, Harriet and Marilyn; and a special former daughter-in-law, Merranda. He will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Charles' name to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
