

Of Jackson, passed away August 7, 2016 age 59. He was born On June 16, 1957 in Ripley, Tennessee to Charlie William and Eddie Lois (Johnson) Graves. One of his fondest childhood memories was life in Tennessee on Lawson’s farm. He was very proud of the fact that he was the first child born in the family…a fact that he always reminded his sister, Marry. Charlie loved trains and his earliest ambition was to be a train conductor. One of his proudest career accomplishments was to work for the Wahlbash Valley Railroad. He graduated from Parkside High School and worked at Eaton Corporation. Charlie loved jokes. He also enjoyed listening to music (especially Otis Redding), fishing and working on cars. He always looked forward to spending time with family and friends. Charlie leaves to cherish his memories six children: Sercey Oldham, Anthony Oldham, Christina Oldham, Ashley Oldham, Leo Sullivan III and Daniel Bates Jr.; fifteen grandchildren; eight siblings: Marry Hurt, Donnie Grubbs, Mae Graves, Vonetta Moore-Wilson, Harry Moore, Cora Moore, Yulonder Moore and Kenny Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two children: William Earl Oldham and Candice Graves. Funeral services will be held at Oasis of Love Church, Monday, August 15, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. with family hour starting at 11:00 A.M.
