Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the age of 92, while under the compassionate care of his family and the staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Donna Bromley; three children, Patricia (Leonard) Friday, JoAnne (“Barney”) Leece, and Steven (Violet) Bromley; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Bromley; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Marlene (Dale) Aldridge; as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lee Bromley and brother, Edward Bromley. “Herb” was born to Claire W. and Bernice (Brower) Bromley in Jackson on June 21, 1926 and attended Jackson Public Schools. He retired from Lite Metal Die Cast after 31 years of service. He found much pleasure in wood working, refurbishing furniture, and giving new life to old treasures. He loved his family; he appreciated spending time with them and grilling out. He enjoyed life. A service honoring him will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 1:00 until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in honor of him may be made to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice.
