Clara Joyce Raymond

She was born May 22, 1934, in Jackson, Michigan to Arthur Peterson and Alice Crosby.

Clara was a devoted church goer and loved her Friday morning coffee get-togethers with her church friends. Her church community was very important to her, and she missed attending once her health declined. She also loved quilt making and was always giving them away to people that needed them.

She is survived by her children Margie Adair and Bill (Linda) Raymond, grandchildren Andy (Nicole) Adair, Jason (Sadie) Adair, Tracy (Alex), Kristi (Keven), Chelsea (Kameron), Angie (Bob) Stoker, Misty (Jacob) Conrad and Bo Cochrane; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Raymond, and stepdaughter Pamela Cochrane.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Rhonda Withrow, Highland Assisted Living and Thome PACE for taking such great care of their mom.

Clara’s family will receive friends and family on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 11:30-1:30 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, 1806 E. Michigan Ave, Jackson, Michigan. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1425 N Elm Ave, Jackson, Michigan.
