

Passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 79. Clark was born on July 25, 1944, on a farm in Norvell Township, Michigan, to Clark E. Conant II and Lela V. Conant. Clark graduated from Napoleon High School, Central Michigan University, and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. While in college, Clark met and married Elizabeth (Betsy) Brenton who has been his loving wife and life partner for 54 years. Following medical school, Clark returned to Jackson, Michigan where he practiced family medicine for nearly 50 years caring for patients who were, more often than not, considered friends. He epitomized the values of hard work and dedication. During his life, Clark was also an avid gardener, bird watcher, and an accomplished painter. Clark enjoyed spending time with family and was a faithful attender at Westwinds Church in Jackson.
Clark is survived by his beloved wife, Betsy, and their two children: Adrienne E. Bennett (Todd) and Collin A. Conant (Lanai). Clark is also survived by seven grandchildren: Ellen, Brooke, and Brady Bennett, and Justin, Cameron, Cailyn, and Collin Conant. His mother, Lela V. Conant, siblings: Terrence (Nanette) Conant, Dennis (Jana) Conant, and Diane Fudalski, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive him. Clark was preceded in death by his father, Clark E. Conant II.
Family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, (1806 East Michigan Ave, Jackson, MI 49202) Cremation has been chosen, with interment to take place at the Peterson Family Cemetery in Columbia Township at a later date.
