Clifford Shank

Age 68 of Jackson, died February 16, 2012 at Allegiance Health after a brief but courageous battle with an illness. The son of Clifford E. and Carol Shank, "Cliffy" was born May 29, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana. Cliff retired in 2011 as an independent truck driver for Anywhere Express in Charlotte, NC; this allowed him to fulfill his love for the open road and traveling. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and he adored his children, grandchildren (14), and great-grandchildren (7). He is survived by children Shelley (Joseph) Lentz, Corey Shank, Cathy Walling, Jimmy (Kim) Jackson, Debbie (Matt) Hastings, and Jeff (Kim) Jackson, his mother Carol, brothers Leslie and Ted, sisters Anna Shank, Carmen (Danny) Odle, and Paula, as well as his "very dear friends" Bob and Tonya VanAelst. Cliff was preceded in death by his father, Clifford E. Shank. Services to celebrate Cliff's life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday February 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Chaplin Wendy Walz officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. He will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens with military honors.
