Corrine Susan Hawley

Corrine Susan Hawley, 86, passed away on October 12, 2026. Born September 24, 1940, in Marquette, Michigan, Corrine will be remembered with deep respect and abiding gratitude by all who were blessed to know her.

Corrine was the daughter of Harvey and Lempi Laak. Throughout her life, she was cherished for her steady devotion to those she loved, her faithful presence through the years, and the honest, kind-hearted way she met the world—quietly, sincerely, and with care.

Corrine was married to Gerald Richard Hawley for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Hawley; and her brother, Darold Laak.

Corrine is survived by her children, Bruce Hawley, Mike Hawley, Brenda Waller, and Richard Hawley(friend Brenda Hammond) ; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Her family was beloved to her, and her life reflected a devoted heart and enduring love.

In the rhythms of everyday life, Corrine found comfort and joy in simple pleasures: adult coloring books, shopping at discount stores, visiting yard sales, reading as an avid reader, crocheting, and watching Wheel of Fortune. These familiar pastimes were part of the gentle steadiness that defined her days and the warmth she shared with others.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family celebration of life at a later date.
