

Daisy Harrell (Dolly) went on to be with the Lord August 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Daisy was born April 10, 1929 in Windener, Arkansas to the late Evalina and Jim Watson. She spent most of her childhood in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was employed at Shaw’s Furniture for several years. Daisy married Walter Harrell in 1947. She was a faithful member of Second Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mass Choir and the Willie Wilson Circle. She loved her church and her church family. Daisy loved her family and they all certainly loved her. She made sure to always call her family and stay in touch. She was sweet and always ended her conversations with the words “I love you.”
To cherish her memories she leaves behind, her children Samuel White, Darlene Suddeth, Walter (Sharon) Harrell Jr., Jeanette Baptiste, Tracy (Grady) Higgins; grandchildren Keith (Lisa), Connie, Alisa (Tony), Faye, Mario (Melissa), Tijuanna, Kendra (Randy), Harvey, Walter III, and Kelli; her great grandchildren Marcus, Adrienne, Tony II, Christopher, Diaquan, Ge’Ona, Khy’Mani, Mario, Dewayne, Koronius, Ayden, Darrius, Kialye, Aamiya, Jarrell, Aamar, Tahviah, Darriana, Tyrese, Trevor, Walter IV, Tyriq, Ramelo, Trayvon, La’Nisha, Sha’Ronnie, Dalano, Ra’Nesha, Kenesha, Shavonie, Keith II, Keilisa, Kobe, Sharae, Shaniya, Harvey IV, DaHarvion, Shyrra, Makenzie, Hav’Zire, Nina, Rudy, Antonio, Angel, and a special great granddaughter, Mytasia Stone, that took her to church every Sunday, a host of great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Evalina and Jim, husband Walter, son in laws Gerald and Roman, grandson Ronnie, sisters Sylena, Liza, Christine and Willie Mae, and brother James.
A Homegoing Celebration of Daisy’s life will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Second Missionary Baptist Church (304 E. Prospect St., Jackson) at 12:00 pm. with Family Hour beginning at 11:00 am. Please note: MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE SERVICE. She will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
