

Of Cement City, passed away December 4, 2019 age 74. He was born September 19, 1945 in Jackson. He married Kathy Wysocki in 1989 and together they enjoyed 31 years of marriage. David worked at Kelsey-Hayes/TRW for 30+ years until he retired in May of 2002, as a setup man and job leader. He enjoyed camping as a Park Host at Hayes State Park, model railroading, rebuilding mechanical motors and woodworking. He was also a Scout Master in Cement City, Troup 491 and later in life he could always be seen riding his John Deere Tractor. He most enjoyed being able to help family, friends and anyone who crossed his path in need. David is survived by his wife Kathy, his children, Connie Hayes, Michael William Hayes (Jody), David George Hayes Jr. (Tonya) and step son, David M Wysocki Jr. (Tia), 7 grandchildren, Aundrea Fall (Amanda), Patrick Schepeler (Amanda), Ashley Ries (Chris), Cody Hayes, Nick Wysocki, David Fisher (Justine) and Danielle Draper (Anthony), 18 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Margaret Bracken (Jim), Edna Phillips (Stanley), Julie Phillips (Lloyd), Angie Hall (Patrick), Ted Slade, Norman Slade Sr. (Lisa) and George Slade (Penney), many awesome nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Hayes, step mother, Vada Slade, fathers, Michael W. Hayes and George Slade, his former wife, Tamera Jill (Lynam) Hayes and sisters, Ruby Sapp and Mary Wheeler. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Roseland Cemetery Chapel on Friday December 13, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.
