

Of Jackson, passed away with family by her side on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 88. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carl Kurtz; daughter-in-law, Kerry Kurtz; siblings, Anthony Lacinski, Delores Bracey, and Donald Lacinski. She is survived by her six children, David (Ruth) Kurtz, Robert (Barbara) Kurtz, James (Kay) Kurtz, Dale Kurtz, Karol Kurtz, and Ann (Randy) Eschelbach; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sister, Marie Konkel; as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. Delphine was born to Anthony and Helen (Nastally) Lacinski in Jackson on May 19, 1929. After graduating from Jackson High in 1947 she began working at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, where she met and married Mr. Kurtz in 1948. She was a loving homemaker and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church; she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and puzzles. She also enjoyed her social activities, which included working at the Cooper Street Coin Laundry and participating as an election worker, assisting at the local polls. Mrs. Kurtz will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Park with a private family service. Contributions in her memory made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or to the Department of Aging, Meals on Wheels.
