Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the age of 69. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Rudd; children, Donald (Barbara) Rudd and Belinda (JW Prather) Trousdale; four grandchildren, Aaron (Beth) Rudd, Morgan (Drew) Phillips, Danielle (Jerry) Trousdale and Jon Trousdale; two great grandchildren, Maddox Trousdale and Christian Phillips; as well as many loving family members and friends. Doris was one of eleven children born to Kenneth and Claudia Poynter in Jackson. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family; she and John were members of the Goldwing Road Riders; she was a proud homemaker and shared her love with others through her baking. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church (1505 W. Michigan Ave. Jackson) where a celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor would be appreciated.
