Of Parma, Michigan passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda M. Crockett; four children, Namon E. Crockett, Margaret (Robert) Raser, Edward L. Crockett Jr. and David J. Crockett; four grandchildren, Ashley Young, Ryan Counts, Brandon Counts, and Nathon Crockett; sister, Carol J. Hall of Brighton, Michigan; as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. Edward was born on November 28, 1942; one of five children to Paul and Hazel (Eves) Crockett in Jefferson, Missouri. He graduated from Brighton High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge he returned to Brighton, where he met and married Linda and together they raised a family. Mr. Crockett spent his career as an OTR truck driver for over 50 years. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with military honors. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. According to his wishes, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions to assist with final expenses will be appreciated.
