

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away at his home under the care of of his family and Careline Hospice on Monday January 29, 2024 at the age of 76. He will be remembered by; his beloved wife of nearly 44 years, Nancy Hoffman; three daughters, Tina (Dion) Hinze, Karla (Brad) Jackson, and Kim Hoffman; six grandchildren, Alyssa (Michael), Deryck (Kyun Young), Livia (Blake), Klaudia, Vivian, and Veronica; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Benjamin, Adalynn, and Willow, as well as many loving family and friends.
Edward was born to William and Vivian Hoffman on February 12, 1947 in Easton, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he voluntarily enlisted in the United States Navy and served two tours in Vietnam as a Corpsman. After his honorable discharge he spent his career as a public servant in Law Enforcement and retired as a Corrections Sergeant/M.D.O.C, Jackson in 2013. Ed was a dog lover, extremely patriotic, an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending time with family. Cremation has been selected and a service to honor his life will be held at Burden and Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a local Veteran organization in his memory.
