Edwin A. Eicher

Of Jackson passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Eicher and his two sons, Martin and James Eicher. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Wes) Balyeat, Linda (Mike) Vogel, Connie Miller and Donald Jones; grandchildren, Gabe, Amanda, Mike, Tiffany, Kirk and Adam; great-grandchildren, Steven, Ryan, Riley, Aidan and Ayva; brothers, Raymond (Geri) Eicher and Allan (Ginny) Eicher. Ed was one of nine children born to Alfred and Margaret Eicher in Bucyrus, Ohio. After his service in the United States Navy he returned to Jackson where he raised his family. He retired from Mechanical Products after 30 years of service and was past President of U.A.W Local 1330. He was a lifetime member and past Governor of the Moose Lodge 156. He was an avid gardener and a great cook. He would can enough food for himself as well as his children’s families. His homemade peanut brittle, candy and sausage were always a favorite around Christmas time. According to his wishes cremation has been selected and there are no services scheduled at this time. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Mooseheart.
