Eleanor M Murdock

Of Jackson, passed away on September 10, 2013 at the age of 89. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 27, 1924 to parents George and Susanna (Kasper) Lesko. She married Dale Allen Bean on December 21, 1946 in Jackson, Michigan. After Dale’s passing, she married Carleton Richard Murdock on August 11, 1950 in Rives Junction, Michigan. Ellie was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church for many years. She was an avid bowler. She loved gardening, fishing, and bingo. She also loved being called “teenage grandma”. She worked for ITT Hancock for 37 years and was a member of the ITT birthday club for 40 years. She volunteered at Foote Hospital for 8+ years. She is survived by her children Terri (Jim) Clark, Clifford (Kathy) Murdock, six grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Allen Bean; her second husband Carleton Richard Murdock; son, Arthur Lee Bean; and half-sister Helen Schivinski of Mansfield, Ohio. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (275 W. Michigan Ave.) with Dr. Eric S. Beck officiating.
