Elizabeth Ann Bowler

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 85. Elizabeth was born in Shreveport-Bassier, Louisiana on January 19, 1940, to parents Carl Henderson McWhiney and Lula Malla McWhiney-Smith. She was married to her husband Jerry Olen Bowler for 45 years. Elizabeth retired from Mechanical Products. She was a member of the red hat/purple shirts ladies' group and a volunteer at both Foote Hospital and Jackson Crouch Center. She loved euchre, Elvis Presley, country music, dancing, going to the casino, and betting on horse racing at the Jackson County harness racetrack. Elizabeth is survived by her children Linda (David) Atkins and Martin (Marcia) Bowler; grandchildren Autumn (James) Lijewski, Melissa Ellis, Jason Nowlan, Kortney (Mike) Dixon, and Kyle (Hannah Gessner) Bowler; great-grandchildren Emeri and Dominic Lijewski, Kirsten Gandy, Bryson Todd, Mason and Alaina Dixon, and Quinnley and Leni Bowler; great-great grandchild Asher Gandy; and son-in-law Tom Dalrymple. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl McWhiney and Lula Malla McWhiney-Smith; husband Jerry Bowler; daughter Tina Dalrymple; and siblings Leroy, Audrey, Betty, and Nannie. A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, Michigan) with Pastor Nathan Drumhiller officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Jerry at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
