Of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Pletcher Sr. in December 1979; daughter, Elizabeth M. Pletcher Chapman; and son, Harry Pletcher Jr. She is survived by four grandchildren, Linda M. Pletcher, Lisa M. Pletcher, Christopher Scism, and Todd M. Pletcher; nephew, Bruce James; as well as loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Elizabeth was born to Alex and Margaret (Bretz) Mahmod on April 16, 1927 in Shenandoah, PA. She has been a resident of Jackson since 1940. She graduated from Eastern Intermediate; although she was mostly a homemaker, she was employed with Mercy Hospital, The Dome, and Gilberts. Elizabeth had a strong Catholic faith and participated in many local religious organizations. She will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Father Bob Pienta will conduct a Rosary service that will be held in the Chapel prior to committal.
