Of Jackson left this world for her heavenly home August 7, 2021 at the age of 91. She has joined the love of her life, Jack, who proceeded her on their journey together. Emma was born in Lovelaceville, Kentucky on November 21, 1929. She “ran off to Mississippi” and married Jack on October 5, 1946. They made their home in Kentucky and later moved to Michigan where they remained the rest of their lives. Emma is survived by her loving daughter Cheryl and her husband Brad White. Grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye, Sara and Eric Whitney and Ben and Lacy White. Her great-grandchildren owned her heart - Dupree and Simone Whitney, Jackson, Austin and Brianne White. Her sister Judy, was her favorite phone call. Her niece and nephews completed the family circle she cherished. Emma loved the Lord and served him with a glad heart. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, cooked a multitude of funeral dinners and loved the time spent in Vacation Bible School. If you sat at her supper table you probably had her legendary chicken and dumplings, coconut pie, cornbread and fried apple pies - all washed down with sweet tea. We will miss her but rejoice in her arrival to her eternal home. As requested cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Special thank you to Kevin and Bobby and the staff of Arbor North. She loved you all. To honor Emma donations may be made to Faith Baptist Chapel, Napoleon, MI. “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck”
